Will Bs Help Heat Intolerance?

Posted by Lonnie (Olympia) on 11/21/2006

I HAVE THE PROBLEM OF TOLERATING HEAT AND WARM OR HOT WEATHER. ALSO WHEN I ATTEMPT TO WORKOUT I STILL DO NOT SWEAT. MY QUESTION IS DO YOU THINK THAT THE BAKNG SODA WILL RESOLVE MY SYMPTOMS?

Dear Lonnie: Heat intolerance is caused by several conditions. Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate), high acidity (lack of buffers) and magnesium. All three are equally important. The fact that you are not sweating is that the capillaries are constricted due to excess acidity, and these three will help. It also helps that one freshly squeezed lemon plus adding some baking soda until the fizz stops and add this to 1/2 glass of water to help. Taking some electrolyte drinks might also help.

I am heat (weather and humidity, that is) intolerant. I found your answer on it intriguing. I do take about 600mg daily - magnesium citrate - are you saying that can be the reason for the heat intolerance? but lemon and baking soda (how much?) help? Can you say anything more as far as causes and answers for it please? Thank You
