Finding the Proper Mixture

Posted by Dave on 03/04/2007

I have asked this before but did not see it on the site so I will ask again and hopefully that question will be answered this time, plus I have some other questions as well. When you mix acv and baking soda once you drink it does the baking soda in the acv keep killing acid or does it stop? I was thinking about this the other day and wondered if the baking soda will go in your stomach and kill the acid in your stomach. I have fount out something this past week about how acv and baking mixed together taste with different amount of water. I was mixing and drinking the acv and baking soda in the wrong way. I am not big on measurements but now I am. Instead of mixing 8 oz glass of water with acv and baking soda, I was using 16 oz. It tasted bad real bad. I was even using lemon juice(concentrated) and used Lakewood(unconcentrated). The concentrated had no preservatives or additives, just filtered water. It used 2 tsps of that concentrated lemon juice and it did not help much to kill the taste of the acv and baking soda. With the Lakewood Organic it only took 1 tsp and actually made the acv taste good lol. I was shocked. I decided to actually measure the water and fount out I was using to much. I now measure the water. Now with 8 oz of water with the acv and baking soda it does not taste to bad, I was surprised. The Lakewood shocked me at how good it tasted compared to the concentrated brand. Also with the concentrated brand I am worried about something. The taste of the concentrated was strong and a little bit after I took it my bowels would move. And sometimes my side would hurt. I think the hurting is from my liver or my intestines. My liver levels are off and that is another reason I started to take the acv and baking soda. My cholesterol is high and my triglycerides are high. Triglycerides was over 195, LDL level for my cholesterol was over 170, total cholesterol was over 255. Liver LDH was 120 something don't remember, AST for liver was close to 40 and the ALT was 50 something. So I am also worried about my liver. With the Lakewood no problems, no hurting, no strong taste, makes the acv and baking soda actually taste good. Now since I use 8 oz or water I only use 1 tsp of the concentrated lemon juice and did not have any problems with my side hurting. I have not tried the Lakewood with the 8 oz of water yet. I do not even hardly mix any lemon juice with the acv and baking soda since I fount out that 8 oz of water with the acv and baking did not taste to bad. Why with 16 oz of water the acv and baking soda tasted so bad but with only 8 oz it does not taste so bad. I figured the more water the better the acv and baking soda would taste or help with the taste. What effects if any does using 16 oz of water instead of 8 oz of water have on the health effectiveness of the acv and baking soda? What possible reason would my side hurt with the concentrated vs the unconcentrated organic Lakewood? Is there any benefits of adding lemon juice to the acv and baking soda or can it hurt the health benefits of taking acv and baking soda? How much is to much lemon juice and what happens if you take to much lemon juice? Do not know if you know this or not and it might be silly asking but I was wondering why does the Lakewood taste so good compared to the concentrated brand. The Lakewood taste amazing. One other thing on the lemon juice topic, I tried another lemon juice that did have preservatives and additives and other stuff including lemon oil and it tasted almost just like the concentrated. What is your suggestion on taking lemon juice that has preservatives and additives in it? I have been reading the acv and baking soda page and seen allot about take the acv and baking soda on a empty stomach. I have been mixing it up. Taking it after I eat, before I eat and for a few days I did not even eat. I have been trying to loose weight so I decided not to eat as much. One day I took the acv and baking soda at 12 pm and did not get hungry and later that night I got hungry and took the acv and baking soda again and did not get hungry. So for a few days I only ate breakfast. I lost several pounds fast like that. I do not think that is very good for you though. Are you suppose to take the acv and baking soda only on a empty stomach? If you are suppose to take it only on a empty stomach how long after you take the acv and baking soda should you eat? What if anything is bad about taking the acv and baking soda after you eat or just before you eat? I hope you do not mind me asking so many questions. Some questions might seem like stupid questions but I was told and have believed a long time ago the only stupid question is the one not asked. I hope some of these simple questions helps others even though they might seem simple. So far the acv and baking soda has given me more energy and I feel better. I do not know if it is from only the acv and baking soda though because I am also exercising some at least 3 days out of the week

Triglycerides was over 195, LDL level for my cholesterol was over 170, total cholesterol was over 255.

Take granulated powdered lecithin with every meal, at ne tablespoon. In a month the total cholesterol will be down to about 180 or 190. That is my experience. Continued taking will go down to normal levels and every country will have different standards what that normal level is.

What is your suggestion on taking lemon juice that has preservatives and additives in it?

Most processed foods are acid forming, so it is best used as a fresh fruit forming being the best. Additives, DEPENDS on what kinds of additive. To take that is like a wild card. It is hard to predict whether it is good or bad, but i prefer to stay away from problems like that.

What effects if any does using 16 oz of water instead of 8 oz of water have on the health effectiveness of the acv and baking soda?

If you can drink 16 oz, fine. If you want to drink 8 oz fine too. If 16 oz works best for you, it simply means you are not drinking enough water. If the baking soda and acv is the same in both 8 oz and 18 oz, the issue appears more likely not drinking enough water. As to the taste issue, that varies with a person's taste.

What possible reason would my side hurt with the concentrated vs the unconcentrated organic Lakewood?

In chemistry, the zeta potentials and electrical properties of a concentrated organic is much poorer than an unconcentrated one. That means the colloidal properties of an unconcentrated ones are superior, and the concentrated ones are less natural since the water portion is boiled off and they become less biologically active, in terms of zeta potentials, ORP, and a host of other issues. This is why it hurts more to drink a concentrated one, it is more like an over processed food. The less the food is processed, reconstituted, concentrated, the more natural it is and more compatible with our bodies. The answer is beyond this email.

Is there any benefits of adding lemon juice to the acv and baking soda or can it hurt the health

Benefits of taking acv and baking soda? There are many minerals and elements our body needs. So lemon and acv plus baking soda would work the best. Get your ORP meter and you will know why it is so healthy. The solution is strongly antioxidant with a negative value, while most foods we eat, especially concentrated juice are quite oxidant and has a positive value and steals electrons from the body, and hence, a free radical and accelerates aging.

How much is to much lemon juice and what happens if you take to much lemon juice?

Lemon juice is best taken with baking soda. WIthout it, even one whole lemon is too strong for most people to handle.
