Food Grade or Drugstore?

Posted by Darrel (Toronto) on 09/02/2006

I'm a little confused with hydrogen peroxide. Which is better to dilute : 35% with water, the 3% grade or food grade. i was reading that food grade is not good and 3% has chemicals. i'm confused-- thanks.

Darrel: You need not be confused, H2O2 food grade for all concentrations does not have chemicals. The H2O2 3% I refer to is a non-food grade you buy from drug stores and does have chemicals. So if you can get H2O2 of any concentration food grade they are all safe.
