Oxidizers Vs. Antioxidants?

Posted by John (Vegas, Nevada) on 04/02/2007

I find a conflict with the suggestion that oxides such as peroxide are healing when most sources say anti oxidants such as red raspberry seeds are great for good health?

Oxides are not a peroxide. Most oxides in practice refer to metal oxides. Antioxidants protect the cells from damage. Peroxides kill the bacteria which prevents healing. If bacteria is not killed first, no antioxidants will help with the healing, simply that the bacteria are living off the healthy cells and become parasitic.
