Problem with Toenail Growing

Posted by Gerry (Culver City, CA) on 11/29/2006

I have a problem with toenail growing nicely but not attaching to skin underneath (looks like little pocket of air). I would like to know if anyone has had this problem and what they did to combat it.

Dear Gerry: The skin may not be thick enough or that the skin has not properly healed. So apply some aloe vera oil with lavender oil should help the healing. A simple way to allow skin to recover is to apply some apple cidder vinegar, daily might help. Taking some zinc and sodium ascorbate vitamin C supplements should help the skin condition also.
