4 Year Old with Gerd Since the Day He Was Born

I am Ecuadorian and have a 4 year old son. He has been suffering GERD since the day he was born. Doctors prescribed Prevacid, Nexium, Carafate and all kinds of expensive medicines. I read about how good Apple Cedar Vinegar works but I am not sure about giving it to my son or how much should I give him. Is it safe? Please let me know your comments. Thank you in advance.

Johnny: 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda taken twice a day mixed in 1/4 glass of water should work better for a child. It takes about 2-3 weeks for the condition to subside.
