Most remedies I posted are relatively benign and they are always taken with no specific time period but usually 5 days out of a week with 2 days rest. Those were necessary for the body rest so it can detoxify properly.

Dear Maran:

A good remedy for acid reflux that has high efficacy against this especially difficulty swallowing requires the addition of three supplements.

One is vitamin E at 200 i.u., another is Magnesium citrate and the third is vitamin B complex, in the form of B50. Magnesium causes the muscles to reduce its tightening which is very much cause by tightening from lack of that, or excessive calcium. When muscles relaxes, swallowing is better. Vitamin E strengthens the muscles, while B complex increases neural control involved in swallowing. There are other helpful supplements such as selenium for example, which is synergistic with vitamin E since vitamin E alone won't work unless selenium is taken, and the dose for vitamin I.U. is 200, while selenium for me is 600 mcg being the preferred dose that seems to work better then the commonly packaged 200 mcg found in most supplements. An addition of royal jelly seems to help further the digestion and decrease the acid reflux bought about by lack of B5 which is the form I preferred in royal jelly. The B50 also has the advantage of reducing certain acid reflux that is caused by deficiency causing an acid reflux like symptoms. The vitamin B3 form found in B50 I preferred is the niacinamide since it does not have the associated flushing issues found in niacin.

Apple cider vinegar or apple cider vinegar with baking soda is generally weak on resolving acid reflux issues and may require stronger dose, however the simplest possible remedy for a strong dose that is easy to find is as follows:

1. 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day,

2. The additon of 1/16 teaspoon of milk of magnesia (without aluminum, well shaken). mixed with water also tends to dry up of destroy biofilms which protects H. pylori, from survival. This maybe taken twice a day and can be mixed by the above remedy.

It should be noted that whether there is or is not H. pylori, the sudden contraction of muscles is quite often due to magnesium deficiency. The preferred dose is between 250-500 mg per day for magnesium citrate form or magnesium acetate or magnesium chloride. Magnesium works best if it is given alone and not with the addition of calcium. Magnesium is synergistic with B complex and it helps. The symptoms due to difficulty of swallowng food often disappears mostly by the third day if due to just magnesium issues, however. There are multiple cause and hence a couple of remedies has to be given.

i have been experiencing acid reflux for some years now. i recently discovered a way to beat it. believe it or not, yogurt will stop it! it is because of the active live cultures in it. i have always liked yogurt, but i never ate on a regular basis. it was just a treat that i would buy once in a while. recently, i started realizing that i was having fewer episodes of acid reflux. i started think it was due to my consumption of yogurt. one time, in the middle of the night, i was having an episode (my mouth would just continue to water until i either sit up for a while or finally vomit. then i could finally go to sleep) until i got up out of bed and ate regular size cup of yogurt. it worked like a charm. i was able to go right to sleep. since that time, i have repeated procedure. the nice thing is the fact that yogurt tastes good and is very inexpensive. try it out it should work for you too.
