Boil Like Sore on Scalp

Posted by Norma on 05/31/2006

I get a boil like sore on my scalp once in a while, only one at a time. What is this, and what treatment is there? Could it be related to eczema or rosacea, which I have?"

Ted responds. "I have one friend, who has boil at a time. After long discussion it turns out that the she tries to avoid her morning toilet duties by delaying it until way in the afternoon or early evening. Every time she does that, a boil comes out the next day as the intestines reabsorbed the waste product back into the body and ejects it out the skin. Often this leads to constipation, and a host of other problems. So do not avoid going or delay the morning ritual and the skin usually clears up. Also try to avoid all those high glycemic diets, they tend to cause skin problems from excess sugar buildup. Most offensive are ice cream, softdrinks and chocolate and other pastry products.

Most skin problems and boils can be lessened by applying lavender oil on the skin. Taking some zinc supplements especially zinc gluconate or zinc acetate is helpful in bacterial resistance, which often causes boils. High fiber foods and intestinal detox will help too."
