Scalp Covered in Thick Scar Tissue After Years of Scalp Infections

Posted by Ray (Seattle) on 06/11/2006

Ted, I'm trying your scalp remedy (ACV and Peroxide; citric acid and baking soda, plus tea tree oil) It's working, so thanks, but much slower than for others. My problem is that after many years with this condition, parts of my scalp are covered in thick scar tissue. I'm sure that the infection is locked in the hair follicles beneath the scar tissue, wich is why it's so hard to get rid of. Any suggestions for my situation? Also, I read somewhere that some infections hide deep in the ear canal waiting to come back after treatment, what do you think of pouring peroxcide in the ear to help things along?

Yes sometimes it is deep, but ear canal thing might not work as well as you would anticipate. You are free to try it but I would not think it will work! Of course some people with excessive ear wax are going to be in trouble as the liquid might be lodged there for a long time. I get complaints from people using this technique that I just don't recommend them do it because of the problems, even if it might not occur as often. I myself just use q tips soaked in peroxide as a more practical means, again I don't recommend that too often. I have seen an old lady who put q-tips and broke the ear drums and went deaf. So I don't like playing by the ears. If you want faster results try this: To get you to dissolve those scar, faster, adding a couple of tablets of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) to the ACV or vinegar to your scar tissue would help. Aspirin tends to dissolve the scar tissue quite well if you leave it long enough. Take plenty of vitamin C and silicon rich foods, the hair and skin will regenerate faster. Try squeezing some lemon juice to it if you want it to work stronger. Lemon juice is an alpha hydroxylic acid and it is used as a skin exfoliant products to the mix also. I prefer that you make the dietary changes would be most helpful, such as taking more protein rich foods and less sugar and carbohydrate food. They will help the healing process a lot faster. Cigarettes and beer drinking is not helpful either avoiding them will help.
