DIDN'T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY, NOW WHAT!

Posted by Sunny (Houston, Texas) on 11/06/2007

Dear Ted, I was reading Earth Clinic about 6 weeks ago. I had an itchy scalp, and a little hair loss. I read about your h2o/acv cure and did not read the exact instructions. I did not take the time to find them. I mixed 1/2 acv and 1/2 water, and put it on my head (saturated) then I mixed 1/2 h2o and 1/2 water and put that on my head. I left it in for 24 hours without rinsing it. then I realized I made a big mistake. My scalp got really tight, and my scalp has been really hurting me. I am loosing so much hair, about 1/2 or more of my hair has fallen out. I just rub my fingers through it and tons fall out. My part is getting bigger and bigger. Very, thinning hair. Now I have a red cut, or lesion on my head. I Am afraid it will turn to folliculitus, and do not how to treat it without causing more damage. What can I do? I can't beleive I did this without reading the instructions. I am very ADD, and just jumped without thinking. Please help!

Try a much gentler remedy of saturated solution of borax and leave it overnight. Some supplements of manganese sulfate taken daily may help with the hair loss. Zinc gluconate may be important, so I think 50 mg taken for a couple days out of a week may help. In the meantime, capillary circulation is important, in which 2 tablespoon of lemon juice or lime juice plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water is taken twice a day. This should help increase capillary circulation. A vitamin C sodium ascorbate 1000 mg x 2 times a day is another one. The most important point here is to stop the hair loss first.
