I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BOILS, MY DOCTOR GAVE ME ANTIBIOTICS , AS A RESULT I GOT A TERRIBLE YEAST INFECTION, BUT THE ANTIBIOTICS DID NOTHING FOR THE BOILS. YOU SAID THAT 1/4 TEASPOON IS GOOD FOR INFECTION. WHEN I ADD 1/4 TEASPOON TO A LITER OF WATER SHOULD I DRINK IT ALL AT ONE TIME, AND IF SO HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPEAT THIS?

Dear Sheila: You can take this as often as you like. It is suppose to replace the water you drink. The amount recommended of 1/4 teaspoon is a minimum amount with the least problems. Normally you will take 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 1 liter of water and drink this like normal water over the long term. Sea salt acts as a fairly weak antibiotics and will reduce it slowly.

Yeast infections are fairly common after taking antibiotics since antibiotics tends to cause the body to accumulate heavy metals. When the body have high heavy metals yeast growth are common. This include candida and host of other yeasts.

Therefore to reduce heavy metals which cause yeast infections, you need to take lecithin on an empty stomach. The lecithin is a common fat emulsifier and the fat metals are also fat soluble. This will enable the body to reduce heavy metal loads. Taking some chinese parsley, a handful a day is also a good metal chelator. However take it for only 4 days and off 4 days alternatively. Keep doing this until the yeast infection wore off.

The boils are due to the body's immune system being down usually, a simple zinc salts will act as a safe antibiotic. The preferred zinc salts is zinc acetate, usually taken 25 mg/day for only 4 days and off for 3 days. Do this alternatively. Should skin drying starts, you can stop the zinc.

Another possibility is to do iodine painting on the feet for two or three days a week, weekly. This might help raise the immune system and reduce the boils. While applying iodine to the boils directly might help, the boils are often viral cause in some cases. Using some zinc salts (zinc chloride or zinc acetate) applied to the skin, or maybe a weaker dissolved aspirin in water, applied to boils may help also. Apply that three times a day should help. There are a great many home remedies for the boils, however these are just a few you can try.

Consider alkalizing yourself by taking some 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with 1/2 glass water three times a day on an empty stomach, once in morning, and another in early afternoon and once in bedtime. Alkalizing will raise the body's oxygen level and immunity and this will help reduce the boils.
