Question About Saturated Borax

Posted by Julie on 07/18/2007

Hi Ted, I was reading your suggested treatment for rosacea. You say to use 1% hydrogen peroxide w/ saturated borax. I can buy 3% peroxide...do I just dilute with water to make a 1% solution? And how much borax do I add? Guess I don't understand the "saturated borax"! Thanks for your help.

When you add borax, add them till they CANNOT DISSOLVE themselves. That is saturated borax. You add the borax to a 1% hydrogen peroxide until the borax cannot dissolve. In case you don't want to try to find out, it is usually 1 tablespoon per 500 cc of water.
