Rosacea Acne Help From Ted

Posted by Anonymous (Anonymous) on 08/14/2011

Dear Ted

Found the Earth Clinic site and hope you can shed any light or give an opinion on my problem..

I have been diagnosed with Rosacea Acne for a couple of years - I am 46 never had great skin but never as bad as this! I have been using Metrogel for a year or two but recently tried Elderberry tablets and fish oils which seem to be helping although having constant but minor breakouts.

However, I have just been learning to Scuba dive in Tenerife (4 days) and have erupted in lumps and bumps and white head spots all over my neck shoulders and face! In your opinion could this be down to the sun, sun creams, saltwater and or pressure (diving max 18 metres) or a combination of all? I have never had this so bad. Used the metrogel everyday as usual.

As I suffer from occasional coldsores (am under a lot of stress at present) and have been advised to try ACV to lower my acid levels I am interested in the posts that suggest use for this kind of acne too and will try it asap!

Many thanks for any advise or info you can give.

Hello, fungal/parsite infection- you can go with tamu oil, raw coconut oil or dragons blood but yes, get sun properly all over and do a candida cleanse. Am not sure if you got this from the water you said or this was before.

Rosacea acne is caused by lipase deficiency and as a result fat doesn't get dissolved, and get clogged. Some things may help reduce it, such as bromelain 10% 1/4 teaspoon three times a day. But if redness from the sun, I found there is B2 deficiency for that one. The bumps are acne too, but they are deep ones, so there you have clogs that go deep. The cause is usually dehydration, from sun and lack of water mostly. Seawater and pressure from deep sea diving actually forces the pores deep in the skin to close up, resulting in bumps you see. It may sometimes help if you wash the face with plain water and drink more water, and take digestive enzymes such as bromelain or others. Vitamin B2 will eliminate the redness.

Metrogel merely suppresses Rosacea Acne. It does have antibacterial properties, but it appears that the cause is the liver and so we need to get rid of toxic buildup in the system, and it is not known for that. The rosacea acne may be a virus, so it will respond to elderberry as well as lysine and andrographis paniculata. Well most of them are viral, but it may have some bacteria too. The problem about rosacea is you can't be exposed to too much sun, that's what causing it, but not likely anything else. As to your question to deep sea diving, that may cause the pores to constrict. Rosacea acne is strange, it comes after the use of accutane or isoretinoin I found also, that suppresses the production of pores responsible for detoxing. Bentonite clay, a wet solution apply on face and fan dry, done three times a day gets rid of toxin buildup. Too much fish oil may worsen the condition so I won't overdo that. Rosacea has a lot of causes, but mainly its toxic buildup, lowered immune system and some deficiency of collagen, where the limiting amino acid is lysine.
