Remedies Needed for Cough Caused by Sulfur Dioxide

Please, help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I live in a very contaminated area. Just recently found out the awful smell that is always apparent is sulfur dioxide. They said it was from our dump that takes junk from building sites from entire area of S.E. MASS. Don't know what's it's from really. Don't care either. But it is slowly killig me. We had plans of moving several years ago, but due to sudden shift in our economic situation, we have been forced to stay put.

Two years ago suffered bad (ER) case of pleursey; was completely unable to breathe and my cough lasted months. Last summer was so SOB, but the air conditioner helped.

I am an RN (although changed careers over 25 years ago) but since have used homeopathy very successfully. I plan on ordering sulphuricum acidum. Do you have any other suggestions?

Know of any wealthy stars that are willing to "sponser an American family" and help them move. They just might save a life. (only kidding)

Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have an ozonator. I have read on your site that it is beneficial in some situations. My sister thinks you should not be in the room when it's running and has made me paranoid about using it.

A sulfur dioxide can easily be sulfuric acid when it comes into contact with water, or moist area such as the breathing passages in the lungs and throat. Therefore using a baking soda solution aerosol, and breathing only briefly with a solution of sodium bicarbonate, such as a 5% solution for example should neutralize some of the acid. The other thing is sulfur dioxide causes acid burns along the breathing passage, hence, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon of potassium citrate (or potassium bicarbonate) is taken three times a day should neutralize the effects of the acid caused by the sulfur dioxide, or sulfuric acid when it hits water. The throat burns should be most help with any aloe vera oil or aloe vera drinks to speed up the healing caused by the chemical burns, as aloe vera is known to help against most forms of burns, provided the body is properly alkalized. To stop cough a fast remedy is 3-4 drops of peppermint oil, anytime a cough occurs. Vitamin E should also help reduce the scarring associated with the acid causing scars.
