Remedies for Menopause Symptoms

Posted by Dianne (England) on 11/09/2006

Ted or anyone - has anyone got any remedies for menopausal symptoms? I seem to have some things that I can't explain. I get lots of tingling, mostly in my left arm, but also in my lips and toes and fingers. I also get tingling feelings inside. I also get bloatedness and wind. These seem to go for a few days and then come back again. I also get common symptoms like hot at night and memory loss. I am taking ACV and bicarbonate of soda, plus potassium citrate (just a drop), also oil pulling occassionally. I am loathe to go on HRT so am eating eastrogen rich foods like soya, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds etc. Anyone else get these symptoms and if so what do they do to relieve them, expecially the tingling/pins and needles. Any help appreciated.

Dear Dianne: Usually taking plenty of vitamin E, fish oil and evening primrose oil will help. These oil will balance your hormal conditions. Licorice extract have an adrenal like hormone also taking 1 tablespoon per day for a week but not over will usually help.

However, taking vitamin E (natural vitamin E) alone may help without the need to take anything else.

Bloating is an indication of excess acid. To confirm that just measure your urine pH. It should be 6 -7, if it is too acid, than perhaps you need to take more baking soda. If the body is experiencing water retention, usually it is an indirect problems from constipation or excess acidity still. For me, I resolved the bloatness by taking 5 mg of lithium citrate, and refrain taking sugar, especially if you take salt and sugar together.
