Eunice: Most of the menopause problem is helped with vitamin E 400 i.u. a day and magnesium citrate 250 mg/day. The progesterone production is reduced relative to the estrogen levels being the cause of menopause. Alkalizing should help reduce the calcification and normalize the hormones.

Try 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, three times a day. This should help with the sleep and the energy level. The hair loss should be mostly helped with vitamin C sodium ascorbate 1000 mg x 2 times a day for your case. If it is not working out melatonin taken before sleep may help. By trying to alkalize with the ACV and baking soda, the apetite should be curbed, if not take plenty of bee pollen. It seems to help in some cases.

I started having hot flashes my MD when ahead an ordered bio-identical plant based hormones from the compounding pharmacy He handed me Estrovera with a glass of water while at his office. Estrovera is natural made from a particular type of rhubard. By the time I left his office my body was cooler almost chilled I was so happy about that, since I normally run cooler. Estrovera worked within 10-15 minutes. Since Estrovera is pricey 86.00 I asked my traditional Chinese medicine doctor I see weekly for moxa and acupuncture. I mentioned I was having hot flashes he gave me some Chinese herbs which was very reasonable in cost and it works just as well as the Estrovera.

When the Chinese Medicine doctors prescribes herbs, it is a formulation that is based on the individuals, pulse/heart rate, body type and yin/yang deficiency or excess and overall disposition. There is way more to it than, but that is all I recall. The best thing to do is to see a Chinese Medicine doctor to get a individualized formula in the right amounts. I prefer granules. I'm noting only the cooling herbs in the formula since that is what your seeking. Shi Gai and Sheng Di Huang both clear the heat from the body, my formula also included Gan Cao ( Licorce root) for lightheadness and dizziness . This is excluded if you have high blood pressure. Stay cool!
