... For an emergency remedy against a fluid retention is the taking of a laxative, where I prefer milk of magnesia taken as per instruction of the bottle. Those will cause reduction of fluids by laxative effect instead of the pressure put on kidneys. Most teas are also generally diuretic in effect too. A watermelon tea is also diuretic, if they do have it....

Milk of Mag is used in the hopital to cure bed sores. Paint it on and put a light close to the area being treated and leave it on as long as possible exposed. It can stay on as a natural bandage unitl one bathes or it can be washed off if done gingerly after a few hours.
