Chronic Headaches Due to Stress and Anxiety

Posted by Anju (Houston, Tx, Usa) on 01/27/2012

I have had these headaches for years. First thinking they were related to allergies/ sinus congestion etc. Tried all kinds of allergy meds, nasal sprays. Slowly got addicted to prescription nasal sprays but they stopped working well. Got allergy tests done, they could not find a single thing that I could be allergic to. I tried avoiding gluten, wheat, milk etc have yet to find any clues. Homeopathic medication has helped but still get them sometimes. I do have a busy, stessful lifestyle with kids and a full time job so was thinking could it be related to anxiety even after meditation every day and yoga 3 times a week. I have no other symptoms of anxiety and appear to be a very calm person. but I do think and overthink every little thing.

Any help if this really is anxiety and what can I try for it?

Also what are some good supplements to keep HPV( high risk type) at bay.

The major supplement that has helped the headaches is three things, potassium citrate 1/4 teaspoon everytime there is a headache, but in morning if it occurs, must be taken after meals, any other time is ok, commonly taken 1/4 teaspoon but very severe one may require up to 1 teaspoon. Taurine will correct the sodium and potassium imbalances at 1/4 teaspoon once or twice a day anytime. The vitamin C, ascorbate kind, 1000 mg x 2 will help headaces but requires 24 hours. The potassium citrate is fast, within less then 5 minutes. Two things will relieve some of the stress, 250 to 500 mg of B3 niacinamide and DHEA, to help deal with stress better, 12.5 mg to 25 mg. There are more, such as narcissus oils to help with stress also. HPV, will simply try the lysine and stress reduction supplements, and avoid carbohydrates as they add fuel to the fire.
