Eating Causes Mouth Pain
Hello, I stumbled across your website and I was wanting to ask you something about me.. Its really hard for me to explain.. Whenever I eat anything the back of my mouth hurts so bad it makes me cry. I do have a food allergy to bell peppers and paprika but I'm positive that what I am eating doesn't have it in it.. But I mean the back of my throat feels like it does when I eat something Im allergic too. My throat feels swollen, its hard to swallow, cant chew because it makes the pain worse each bite that I take and there is pain in the back of my mouth by the base of my tongue and the roof of my mouth hurts too.. It just started happening today.. It has happened once or twice in my whole life.. but now its constant I barely have eaten anything today because of it.. When I drink something Im fine and a while after I eat Im fine again but as soon as I try to eat it happens again, I cant even chew a piece of gum. Have you ever heard of anything like this.. Please reply asap. I would really like to know whats wrong so I can try to get help about it.. Its excruciating. Please help me.
H: It maybe either the virus or a certain strep throat bacteria. Usually doctors would give people amoxicillin for the strep throat, but I don't like the use of antibiotics.
I prefer to use 1%-1.5% H2O2 plus some baking soda. For example, in 1/2 glass of water, I will add one teaspoon of baking soda to the 1.5% H2O2 solution to use as a mouthwash.
I may also sip slowly about 2-3 cc of 1/2 glass of warm water with 10 drops of 3% H2O2 with 1 teaspoon of baking soda every 15 minutes for about four or five times to reduce it. Usually such pain I have encountered is a viral problem, rather than a strep throat. I might take some zinc lozenges and perhaps xylitol to reduce this pain.
If it is food allergies, the body will reduce the food allergy if the body is generally sufficiently alkaline such as 2 tablespoon of lemon juice with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water and drink this slowly, taken twice a day. It takes 3 days to notice improvement.
Certain bacteria and detoxification may help with a 250-500 mg of magnesium citrate, taken twice a day.
It is also quite common before a cold or a virus, that the throat becomes excruciatingly painful. Therefore 50 mg of zinc gluconate, baking soda 1/2 teaspoon in 1/2 glass of water, and sipping slow as mentioned before may help this problem.
It is difficult to find the real cause given the information you sent me, but the ones mentioned here are the common problems I encountered from difficulty swallowing due to sore throat.
One additional fact that might help, in case the sore throat are viral is 4 drops of peppermint oil, taken directly into the mouth and kept there for about 2 minutes before swallowing slowly. The peppermint oil will kill certain virus that causes the pain or irritation
