I received a lot of complaints that my vitamin D of 20,000 I.U. was too much, that I should recommend only 200 or 400 I.U. of vitamin D maximum to maintain the body's immune system.

Apparently those who complained had participated in a study and were told not to take over the 400 I.U. as it is unsafe. For one thing, our body can easily produce 10,000 I.U. on a sunny day, so it would seem strange that we are taking far below what our own body is producing.

TED IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK WITH VITAMIN D. I HAD MY LEVELS CHECKED THIS SUMMER AND THEY WERE DISMAL. I STARTED TAKING D3 ORALLY AT DOSES OF 10,000-20,000 UNITS DAILY. I WANTED TO GET MY LEVEL UP TO THE OPTIMUM RANGE OF 50-65 BEFORE FLU SEASON STRUCK. I DID NOT QUITE MAKE IT. I TESTED AT 47 WITH MY CALCIUM LEVEL AT NORMAL RANGE.

PEOPLE SHOULD GET THEIR D LEVEL CHECKED EVERY SEPT AND APRIL AND THEN DOSE ACCORDINGLY. 5000UNITS IS A SAFE MAINTENANCE DOSE FOR ADULTS. THERE IS ALOT OF EXCITING STUDIES GOING ON WITH VITAMIN D AND OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. DR JOSEPH MERCOLA HAS MANY GOOD NEWSLETTERS ONLINE ON THE TOPIC.

Ted is right I test 4, should be 50 at least! My dr. gave me 50,000 Units Vit D (generic version of Drisdol). I will be taking it weekly for three months so it is about 7,000 Units per day. But there are some people who get prescribed to take it more often.

Ted am wondering with CODEX ALIMENTARIUS how long these drugs will still work?

If humanity still being weeded down, the generic versions given to most poor/disabled on medicaid/medicare, wonder if they may hurt us down the road?

Ted also you give a wealth of info but sometimes too a little too much. It be helpful if you can focus just on core treatment remedies (esp those we can find in health food store, actually online probably better because can get liquid/powdered versions not with fillers that make less effective, but then worry if it is irradiated in mail?) needed to treat because it get confusing to buy and take so many home remedies out-of-pocket.

Boy sometimes seems like we humans are screwed, maybe those who get eat healthy meals and have basic healthy supplements will maybe survive whatevers to come, but I guess it being done over time. It is amazing to see how unhealthy so many getting and it almost being seen as normal.

And on this site I read countless supplements we should be taking, is their a core anywhere? Like we all know we could all use 500-1000mg Vitamin C (the alkaline Sodium Ascorbate version)as well as most deficient in Magnesium, Potassium and Vitamin D (I forgot what version and how much recommended) but what else? So many mentioned here and there, it hard know what buy when on budget? Thank you!
