Social Stresses Causing Physical Sickness

Posted by J on 10/12/2007

Dear Ted, I have had numerous health problems but I am slowly getting better but am stuck in various ways. I very much appreciate your approach and remedies on Earthclinic and I very much hope you can help me too. I have had extreme stress for about 6 years. I was diagnosed with severe Fibromyalgia but it has slowly improved although I still have low energy and aches in my neck and shoulders and lower back and hips continue. I had a very bad kidney stone that caused much bleeding when it passed. It was calcium based. During the last few years I have had digestion problems. I have had both diarrhoea and constipation. After that time my digestion worsened and I had to eliminate wheat, corn and milk to avoid terrible constipation or diarrhoea too. I had blood in my stools and developed internal and external haemorrhoids. I also have very large blue bulging veins on my legs especially at the knees and down. I was booked for a colonoscopy. At that time, in 2006, I had a colon polyp removed that was cancerous. The cancer had broken through the mucousa layer and there was a 5% chance it had spread to the adjoining lymph nodes. I did not have any further treatment for it though. In April 2007, my Gastroenterologist put me on 2 tbsp of pyslium daily and I now have normal, regular but bulky bowel movements now even though I reintroduced wheat and milk but I still eat very little of these. I am perimenopausal and may now be menopausal. I am overweight but not quite obese although I do exercise daily and try to eat healthy. I gained about 40lbs over this stressful 6 years. I also have a very large inflamed pimple like raised bump in the middle of my back that is itchy and one on my neck that I have had for 10 years but is not irritating or red but is just under the skin and at least an inch in diameter. Both started to decrease after taking vitamin C in the alkalizing formula. I also have many skin tags where I sweat. I had a skin rash on my toes for 2 years that looked like athletes foot but did not respond to the different treatments for that. It finally disappeared on its own. A red and burning peeling rash like that has reappeared on one toe but I believe it may be because I applied toe nail polish. I also have very cracked heels and even toes. I was also given homeopathic sulphur at another time and it was effective. I have tried to educate myself and to apply what I have learned on the earthclinic site. I would like more energy, less joint pain, to lose weight, and normalize my cholesterol and blood sugar and stay cancer free. I am still grieving the loss of many things and wish to relieve depression. I wish to have the inflammation in my tooth heal. I want my digestion to be working very well. I tried alkalizing: I took baking soda and lime juice for 2 weeks then switched to apple cider vinegar with B. soda fro about 1 month. I very much hope you can advise me as to what I can to that is most effective, helpful and focused. Thank you for your kind assistance in helping many people feel better.

Some parts of the health problems were due to stress, but my view is from a research that found the link of psychological stress can destroy parts of the brain and from studies of over 10,000 CAT scans, the German doctor were able to locate the location of the cancer based on the location of the damaged brain found in CAT scans. Apparently the brain's communications system is important in targeted immunity of the body and if certain parts were damaged, then it is possible that certain cancer locations will be dominant over a certain area.

Therefore, a small amount of neural growth is helpful through the use of lithium supplements such as only 5-10 mg of lithium citrate(or lithium carbonate) which I might take them before sleep to reduce some stress. Certain "smart drugs" (nootropics)such as hydergiene and piracetam (l-pyroglutamate or another cheaper substitute of 5-10 grams of glutamine available in most body building stores) can also help. L Glycine amino acids 5 grams before sleep may also be helpful

The other issue is that the magnesium citrate 250 mg or magnesium chloride, is still needed, and the vitamin C sodium ascorbate is needed too. Granulated powdered lecithin one tablespoon per day, are helpful to the liver.

The reason why magnesium chloride or magnesium citrate are needed is that magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia) alkalizes and kills harmful bacterial colonies in the intestines, while the magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia) is poorly absorbed.

The reason for the acid mouth (acid saliva) is very much due to the problems acidosis that is of intracellular fluids as opposed to extracellular fluids. The mouth is a fair indication of the fluids that is going inside the body and might reflect the body's lack of potassium citrate and magnesium citrate, which are fluids for inside the cells. Therefore if at all possible, I would try to add, some 100 mg of potassium citrate, plus 250 mg of magnesium citrate to the supplements.

If in event the budget is limited, I would concentrate mostly on the smart drugs and alkalizing intracellular fluids (fluids inside the cells) by taking the potassium citrate and magnesium citrate, along with the usual apple cider vinegar and baking soda. However, because the insides of the cells is telling me it is acid, it means the cells inside has a lot of "lactic acidosis" and the cells have difficulty getting rid of it. Therefore, the remedy that best reduces lactic acidosis, and acid mouth appears to be the addition of apple cider vinegar with baking soda. However, potassium citrates and magnesium citrates (or a magnesium chloride), is up their on the things I think is important. Lecithin is also important too. If adrenal exhaustion is at issue perhaps twice or three times weekly 12.5 mg DHEA has been very helpful in some cases of stress, at least it helped me. These are just the important ones I would concentrate on if my budge were limited and more focus is needed. Sometimes natural therapies have a way of causing us to lose focus and we adopt the kitchen sink approaches. With greater understanding of the supplements, some focus is needed to determine which ones is helpful through understanding of the cause.
