Improving Tear Production
I am desperate for a remedy for extremely dry eyes! Dry Eyes was not even listed under the "E" section for ailments only eye infections and something else.
Dear Linda: In certain autoimmune disorders, which for me in practice is just excess microbial overload and excess acidity. I have found green tea to improve glandular secretions, so drinking plenty of those 3 times a day for a couple of days (no coffee and no milk) should help. The green tea must have NO SUGAR, NO MILK and NO FRUCTOSE. What the green tea does is the tannins kills of the fungus or mycoplasma which tends to attaches itself on the glandular system which causes clogging. A more virulent from can cause excess drying or cause certain glands to go hyper. In which case another remdy can do the same thing also, which is iodine foot painting that can be applied every other day. The increase in iodine will allow the glands to remove the waxy glue which is attached by certain microbes suppressing the glandular functions, such as the eyes, etc. Certain people with diabetes can also have a similar problem so they have to take granulated powdered lecithin in addition to the above remedy such as one tablespoon a day.
And the most important factor that I cannot ignore is getting the body sufficiently alkalize to allow and improve microcirculation which you can try using either apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoon with 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water, or 8 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon or lime with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water. Both are taken twice a day but I prefer to alternate taking them at different times. Sometimes low antioxidants such as vitamin C, or lowered vitamin A and vitamin E can also lead to dry eyes besides the lack of sleep and drinking too much coffee with milk and sugar from excess work also.
