Father Unable to Recover Energy After Prostate Cancer Treatment

Posted by Sarah on 08/27/2009

Hi Ted!! I usually email you from a different email address... have a question. I would be honored to send you a donation for answering it for me :-)

My father is about 76, has mostly had good health with following exceptions:

smoked a pipe all his life, some high blood pressure- only thing was always chronic sinus infections- my house was in the woods near large damp stone quarry but no one else in home had sinus probelms. He fought in Korean War and suffered extreme hearing loss from injury and noise. Had an annurism (brain? or in neck?) about 20 years ago caught in time and he recovered.

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer just over 2 years ago, i don't have all the details but he was treated with radiation and hormone therapy.. got rid of the cancer but has never been the same. He has no energy at all.. cannot even walk to the end of driveway to get the mail... feels generally just bad all the time without ewver really being "sick"... is kind of depressed. Gets tired very very easy..., etc. He mostly just has no energy and can't walk... gets out of breath and tired very very fast. Can you help me suggest some things to maybe help? Am about to get married and want him to make it to the wedding... very scary seems like he's going downhill very fast.

thanks again for all of your brilliant knowledge... your advice has changed my perspective and my life, ted. :-)

Dear Sarah:

The lack of energy is a tricky one, but if possible to get a checkup on which hormones are low sometimes helped. However, the most problems I found is low DHEA, low magnesium, and a mitochrondria that's needs some sort of antioxidants. A damp environment with fungus can suck the energy down, plus fungus are known to have really high cancer causing substances called aflatoxins, found in peanuts, black mold fungus, etc. Therefore the following you should see energy picked up in two or three days:

1. Vitamin B complex B50 first week you will take it for only five days. Thereafter, it's taken only weekly.
2. A methylene blue 0.1% concentration 2 drops in the morning and optional 2 drops in the afternoon. It's an antioxidant for the mitochrondria, so the glutathione gets used up more quickly and hence some twice daily glutathione supplements help.
3. Vitamin C sodium ascorbate. This will help with antioxidant that's needed to support the mitochrondria, which is the energy cells for the body.
4. Avoid peanuts, get rid of fungus in the environment if it's still there. A formula to prepare is 10% ammonium chloride solution with 5% baking soda for your spray, and set it to fog setting and spray throughout the house and bedroom. The air will go from damp to nice dry atmosphere within a matter of minutes. You may have problems getting ammonium chloride, in which case ammonium carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate might be obtainable. Hydrogen peroxide 1% is harder to use as you have to dispose of the contents in the sprayer everytime you use it, and you need to obtain a hydrogen peroxide food grade, preferably.
5. It helps if ioderol or iodine supplements is taken only weekly. What it does is it causes the body's enzyme to be restored, allowing better utilization of food, which gives more energy. However, i much prefer 1/16 teaspoon of potassium iodide taken weekly ONLY for a couple of weeks. It helps normalize the bodys' pH.
6. Mixed 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in one liter of drinking water. This restores many sodium imbalances.
7. Magnesium citrate 250 mg twice a day helps a lot.
8. A small neodymium magnet, to the necklace or pocket helps restore energy within a matter minutes. Seems to work best around chest and abdominal area.
9. Vitamin E 200 i.u. taken every two days or every day, if you don't have problems with high blood pressure.
10. DHEA, 25 mg. This helps a lot! Also reduces stress.

The most important supplements that restore energy level will be the DHEA 25 mg, methylene blue 2 drops twice a day, vitamin B complex and magnesium citrate 250 mg x 2. Those are unavoidable. Also alkalization helps restore oxygen to the body, and hence, depending on your supplies, I prefer a baking soda 1/4 teaspoon plus potassium citrate 1/4 teaspoon in a cup of water twice a day. Green tea taken in the morning no sugar, no additives helps remove heavy metals (cadmium, iron, lead) and also has some contents that may help energy level too, but the results vary from person to person becuse of it's caffeine content. Men can't generally get rid of free metal iron out of the system and it will just damage the healthy cells, hence green tea is taken in the morning as green tea contains tannic acid which chelates out the free iron from the body. By doing this it removes the free radicals out of the body.

I am aware that getting some of the supplements are hard and I try to make it as simple as I can. But the ones I mentioned here are most important. Malic acid with baking soda or apple cider vinegar with baking soda also helps. The dose is 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water or at least 1/2 glass of water, often taken in the morning.
