Amenorrhea: No Period W/o Pills

Posted by Anonymous (Anonymous) on 10/23/2011

First of all I would like to appreciate you for your remedies on earth clinic. I have been reading the various remedies for about a month and now. I am a big fan of earth clinic. I am a 34 years old lady with 2 sons. After my 2nd delivery I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and since then I am on eltroxin. I started with 100 mcg but now it has reduced to 75 mcg. Though the doctor says that now my thyroid is within normal limits but still I don't feel that I am the same normal person.

  1. The biggest problem is Amenorrhea --that I don't get my periods without pills. My ultrasound reports are normal. But my hormones test shows that Oestradiol is low while FSH and LH is on higher side. According to gynae these are early menopause symptoms and she suggests progesterone oral pills which i don't want to take.
  2. My weight is another issue which is not reducing even after exercises and dieting. My hairs are falling like anything.
  3. Another problem is pigmentation on my face (cheeks, nose and forehead).
  4. Also I get recurrent eczema infections on my knees, elbows and palms.

After reading a lot about ACV and EVCO from earth clinic I purchased organic ACV and virgin coconut oil. Whenever I drink Acv I get some throat pain. I tried to apply ACV on face but it always causes burning sensation and leaves my face with red patches; so i use 1:6 ratio of acv and water for face. Also I started taking selenium 200 mg , vitamin-E, vit. C and acidophilus.

Do you think that these supplement would help me in getting back to my normal life or should i make some more changes. Please suggest.

Well I would try something simple first for amenorrhea. Dong quai is available and that should help with the menstruation somewhat, they have in capsule form. As to the weight problem and eczema that is low DHEA and it sometimes helps to apply H2O2 1% once or twice a day. The progesterone should be considered, used as creams apply in evening once a day. If burning sensation then I will mixed baking soda, say 1/4 teaspoon after meals twice a day at least to reduce some of the problem. And vitamin E is taken only 200 iu. The thyroid problem is actually histidine 250 mg to 500 mg as it helps T3 to T4 conversion, some lithium low dose 2 mg, and some nascent iodine perhaps once a day. The other common deficiency I have seen with these conditions is magnesium, preferably magnesium chloride or magnesium citrate, but I used maybe 100 mg twice a day would be suffice.
