Dear Judith: Cats seem to like adding some one teaspoon of colloidal silver plus some 10 drops of 3% H2O2 in ONE liter of water.

Cats have an entirely different metabolic processes than humans, so the best way to get cats to normal is to give them raw fish meats, such as salmon, and other fish. One thing that does seem to make cats better is to add about 1/4 teaspoon of real sea salt to the one liter of water in addition. The water must be neutralized of chlorine and fluoride by adding some dechlorinator from the Aquarium shops and a small pinch of borax to remove the fluoride in one liter water, as well as a 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda added. The bicarbonates seems to be important element to all animals in the control of pH for normalization, tropical fish and humans included.

The best sea salt for fish and cats I think is the natural sea water (marine biologist have certain parameters for that one) and some brands such as Instant Ocean is more preferable and are often sold in most pet shops too.

If you think that's too much to do for a simple water, then use RO (reverse osmosis) water and just add only natural sea salt. Most sea salt throughout the world seems to be low on molybdenum and boron, compared to standard natural sea water parameters.
