Symptoms of Yeast Infection

Posted by Amanda on 11/25/2006

I actually have a question. Ok i thought i had a yeast infection and i went to the doctor and got medication but it only worked for like a week then came back! I don't have itching, it's just there is an odor and i have white clumpy stuff that comes out and also i do have abdominal pains when having intercourse. Do you think this is a yeast infection and if so what can i do to get rid of it efficiently and prevent it from coming back? Please help! Thanks

Dear Amanda: It is my observation that vinegar or weak solution of vinegar (50% water and 50% distilled water) cleaning externally and internally will help remove the odor. In the long run, however, alkalizing your pH will raise your immune system and this may help prevent such problems. Take baking soda 1/4 teaspoon + 1/4 citric acid taken twice a day for a couple of days out of a week. '

Sometimes the immune system is weak and the odor can be an indicator. In this case taking some zinc acetate/zinc citrate supplements maybe once a week or twice a week 25 mg. would help too.
