Dear Marianne: Polymyalgia rhematica is bought on by the body's low immune responses. You need to raise your immune levels. Certain supplements such as magnesium chloride or magnesium citrate for example at 250 mg/day should help. Some zinc acetate 50 mg/day, brewer's yeast about 2000 mg/day, kelp, and vitamin B complex and some selenium and you should feel much better the next day. It is necessary to raise your antioxidant level using a recently revised formula I have used, just came out yesterday which is as follows:

One whole fresh lemon juice you just squeezed yourself, then mix add some water, to about 1/2 glass of water at least. Then keep adding baking soda 1/4 teaspoon each time, until it the lemon juice tastes like water. Then drink this twice a day, once in the morning and once before bedtime. This will effectively alkalize the body, increase the immunity by more oxygen, raise the antioxidant level of ORP (oxidation reduction potential) of -140 millivolts, so the body can recover. This is the closest a healing water analogue I can come up with, that is similar in many ways of the natural healing water or sacred healing water found in certain parts of the world. So this should help with a great many conditions, perhaps as much or even more than ACV. However, I haven't had the time to tests which one is more therapeutic, chemically speaking whether it is the ACV + baking soda, or lemon joice + baking soda. If I do, I will post when I have time"

Our Bangkok contributor Ted replies: "Dear Jackie: Try taking plenty of vitamin B complex, where B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 are about 300 mg/day, while B12 at 300 mcg per day. The other vitamin Bs can be obtained from be obtained from taking plenty of brewer's yeast and apricot pits. Also take some aspirin, as it will not only help with the inflammation, but this seems to dissolve and kill nanobacteria which might be causing the inflammed joints. It is important to take vitamin C sodium ascorbate and perhaps apply comfrey poultrice to the area of the joint and some nice heating pads to help the pain.

Taking plenty of cod liver oils and fish oils are both anti inflammatory as well as reduce the heavy metal buildup which prevents the joints from repairing itself. You need to take 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon citric acid with 1/2 glass of water once in bed time and once in the morning on an empty stomach to help alkalize and this should restore the blood to its proper biological terrain for healing purposes.

This will not cure the condition, but the pain should be greatly reduced. Magnesium is synergistic with the vitamin B6 so therefore you need to take about 250 mg of magnesium chloride, or magnesium acetate, or magnesium citrate.

All due respect PMR is in the Autoimmune which is the complete opposite of a poor immune system. This why catabolic steroids reduce symptoms. I have seen many patients who have had PMR and have been succesfully treated this way. Some most with no reoccurences and some with. Once treated and off steroids I suggest micronutrient testing by an experienced MD who does Alternative Medicince.
