Questions About Borax, ACV and Tea Tree for Lichen Planopilaris

Posted by David (Reese, Pennsylvania/USA) on 03/09/2009

Have you had patients become cured of lichen planopilaris (LPP) by drinking throughout the day 1/8 tsp of Borax in 1 L of water? Will ACV and Tea Tree oil alone get rid of this disease? I am desperate to get rid of my LPP - it's causing me daily terror. I am currently taking:

1) 3mg Boron Citrate once daily
2. 250mg Calcium citrate and Vitamin D twice daily
3) A multi-probiotic twice daily
4. B-stress complex vitamin
5. Flax oil 1tbs per day
6. ACV 1tsp once daily
7. Tea tree oil hair shampoo with sodium laureth sulfate
8. Tea tree oil hair conditioner
9. Alkaline diet.
10. Mincoycline 100mg twice daily to reduce inflammation

My condition isn't responding - I've been on this program for a few months. If I add the Borax, should I stop taking the 3mg Boron Citrate? Why would it make a difference if I use Borax vs the 3mg Boron Citrate? How long will it take for my LPP to go away? Can I take the borax every other day? Is there any way to solve this by taking supplements?

Thank you so, so very much for your help Ted.

like the use of boron or even borax. Therefore a 3 mg of boron citrate is rather a low dose from my own use. I used a much largere dose such as 15 mg - 30 mg of boron citrate a day. It is antifungal But so is colloidal copper, hydrogen peroxide, chromium supplements, selenium supplements, manganese , and magnesium. Tea tree oil, in my opinion works quite fine and I seem to be happy with it, but some people find them too strong.

The other side of the coin is lIchen planus that I have seen was cured, which took the course of a couple of monhts was to apply methylene blue 0.1% and then use UV to kill it. Lichen planus maybe killed more effectively, at least the simplest for me is 1/2 teaspoon of ammonium chloride in 1/2 glass of water as a mouthwash done a couple of times and spit it out. keeping in the mouth for a minute or two. Then rinse the mouth with plain water. Of course, I don't have that many case here. It's therefore difficult to make any straightfoward remedy. However, it may be possible to have some progress with 6 drops of sodium chlorite 25% (a.k.a. MMS), with vinegar 12 drops, in 1/4 water used as a mouthwash. Still I think it is too strong for general use with the MMS or sodium chlorite, but it did have some results. It's too soon to tell from my side here

Has anyone had success with this? How did it work for LPP? I am so desperate, but a little afraid to mix Borax in my water. It says it's "toxic" on the box!
