How to Sterilize Nail Scissors

Posted by Ellen (Redwood Shores, CA) on 01/30/2006

How should I clean or sterilize my nail scissors when cutting my healthy toenails? I am taking Oil of Oregano softgels twice a day. I think they are 150 mg. each. I soak my feet every other day in hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar for at least 30 minutes. Two times a day I apply apple cider vinegar to the nails. I swab with bleach on a q-tip. I also use prescription Thymol that is in an alcohol compounding solution. I also swab my toenails with oil of oregano topically, but only about 2 times a week. I see the moons and the new growth looks pink and healthy. I think I am seeing progress... I am not totally sure yet. Thank you, Ted!

You are doing the right thing. However, to accelerate your nail growth I suggest you eat some oatmeal and horsetail which is high in silicon. Both these foods will accelerate your nail growth. I have heard people tell me that taking some fulvic acid mixed with water have also helped promote nail and hair growth. Collagen formation is important so taking some vitamin C regularly helps.

As to stop further nail fungus growth be sure to wear shoes that are well ventrilated and consider using tea tree oil added to vaseline and apply to nails too. Make sure your feet is exposed to UV or sunlight. The fungus don't seem to like such exposure.
